"European Georgia" responds to Saakashvili"s request for restoration of Georgian citizenship.

According to Otar Kakhidze, Saakashvili should not have taken the citizenship of Ukraine, hence he lost Georgian citizenship, but Kakhidze thinks that the third president of Georgia should have citizenship of his country.

"I can not tell you whether the president will take this step, it is clear that his prerogative is to take this step.

"I think that the third president of Georgia should not have taken the citizenship of Ukraine for which he has lost his Georgian citizenship.

"I think that the third president of Georgia should have Georgian citizenship, so let"s see what decision will be made by President Margvelashvili," Kakhidze said.
