According to the General Plan of Tbilisi, which will come into force from 2019, prices will increase in products and parking, and enterprises will be limited in using water and natural gas.

As the opposition parties state , according to the new general plan of the capital, we can say that living in the capital is becoming more expensive.

According to the general project, the water supply and natural gas service provision reads that enterprises should have a limit and if the enterprise exceeds this limit,penalty sanctions over excessive use of natural gas or water will be imposed.

The enterprises that potentially are threatened to be imposed with sanctions say that this change will result in an increase in expenditures and thus increase of the price of products.

Irakli Nadiradze, the chairperson of the Tbilisi Sakrebulo faction "United National Movement" states that the penalty will be primarily for baking and medicine companies.

"Because of this record of Tbilisi City Hall, it is possible to increase prices for bread, medication, various food products and various finished products," Nadiradze said.
