At this moment the sappers are working on Batumi bypass road. The personnel employed at the Gorodok settlement on the bypass road found shells and ammunition during excavations. The works were temporarily suspended.

Years ago Russian military base was functioning there and it is likely that the military equipment belonged to the base.

According to the initial data, the ammunition is out of date and it is not dangerous for life.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into keeping of the large amount of ammunition.
