The position of the Patriarchate of Georgia regarding the autocephaly of the Church of Ukraine is still unknown - Archimandrite Ioanne avoids talking about this issue.The position of the Patriarchate is supposed to be known after the Synod session, but it is unclear when the session will be held.
"I do not have a personal position. What the Patriarch will say is my position," said Archimandrite Ioanne.
At this time, the Patriarchal locum tenens Metropolitan Shio is conducting a traditional Sunday service in the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Christmas liturgy will begin at 11:00 in the Holy Trinity Cathedral - Ilia II will serve the Divine service.
