The amount of money stolen from the Georgian Dream"s Vake office and the criminal case - the Prosecutor"s Office has argued that activists of the ruling party, who are now detained, stole the safe from the office. It contained not the money of the Georgian Dream but the personal money of the lawyer of this office.
According to the case materials, one of the victims is Giorgi Asanishvili. However, it is interesting that Giorgi Asanishvili himself denies the connection with the Georgian Dream"s office and says that he has never worked as a lawyer and he only went to visit his friends.
Giorgi Asanishvili also said that he was not in Georgia during the incident.
"I was not at that time in Georgia and in general I do not comment on that issue. I am not a party lawyer. My friends worked there and I was going there, "said Giorgi Asanishvili.
After the incident Vake Gamgebeli and Tbilisi Mayor claimed that during the theft the party was not damaged. However, the case indicates that the safe was stolen from the part office.
