"Georgian dream" will still have to compromise "- Zaal Udumashvili speaks about transition to proportional system

The opposition plans to hold a meeting today regarding the transition to the proportional system of parliamentary elections. 21 parties will attend the meeting. The main issue is the future strategy. Today they will summarize the final positions within the working group. Tomorrow they will discuss the initiative at the Committee on Procedural Issues, which implies holding a referendum. The opposition demands to hold parliamentary elections by proportional system in 2020 and is going to collect signatures.
"All political parties are demanding the transfer to proportional system to the Georgian Dream coalition, so that" Georgian Dream "will have to compromise," - said Zaal Udumashvili.
"European Georgia" states that they are gathering for the discussion of the transition to the proportional system which is a very important factor for the country.
"The main point is that we will move to proportional elections, it is our task," said Levan Tarkhnishvili.
Bachuki Kardava, the chairperson of "National Democratic Party of Georgia" clarifies that if the proportional system is not established, democratic elections will not be held in the country.
