The High Council of Justice today should discuss lifetime appointment of 8 judges. They maybe approved today.
One of them is Eka Areshidze, judge on the case of juveniles killed in Khorava Street, who discussed the case in the first instance. The list of 8 judges includes judges appointed to the City and Appeal courts for a period of three years, who have applied to the Council for a lifetime appointment a year ago.
Non-judge members are talking about the double standard of the Council and say that the Council has artificially exacerbated the process and is now intensively discussing the issue.
