"We are watching the chronicle of death announced to Zviad Kuprava," - responded to the arrest of Zviad Kuprava, members of the United Opposition.
Opposition members call Kuprava`s arrest a political revenge and accuse the government of double standards.
Murtaz Zodelava said at a briefing that they expected Kuprava`s arrest because the government was busy with neutralizing opposition leaders.
"He is one of the active leaders of the opposition, we knew that he would be punished because he was active. They have been given an order from Ivanishvili, so they have done everything to detain him and get him in jail, "- Murtaz Zodelava said.
According to the member of the opposition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has worked out the so called double gilt plan against oppositional activists. There are two charges of guilt, when on the first charge the bail is imposed , and in case of another charge the bail is replaced with imprisonment. Murtaz Zodelava addressed Giorgi Gakharia and stated that no one was afraid of him.
"We are not going to surrender, Mr. Gakharia, nobody is afraid of you," - Zodelava said.
Tinatin Bokuchava, the member of the United Opposition stated at the special briefing that the information will be provided to the Public Defender, NGOs and Diplomatic Corps.
"Ivanishvili"s government will have to pay a high price for the politicized police and selective justice in our country," Tinatin Bokuchava said.
