Six activists detained at the solidarity rally for deceased workers have been waiting for 4 hours for trial

Activists detained at Chavchavadze Avenue have been waiting for 4 hours for the beginning of the trial in Tbilisi City Court.
The process should have started at 14:00, but the judge has not yet appeared. The rally participants were detained on April 1, when they were on solidarity action of workers who died at the construction site. The prosecution accused them of disobedience and hooliganism.
Vakhushti Menabde, a member of the Georgian Young Lawyers" Association (GYLA), is among the detainees who demanded showing video at today"s trial. The police accuses him of verbal abuse, but Vakhushti Menabde says there was no insulted from his side. Menabde asks law enforcers to submit their evidence to him.
