It"s not Georgia for which we fought 30 years ago - says one of the heroes of the April 9 tragedy.
Blind participant of the April 9 demonstration, who was singing a famous song "Salagobo" during the dispersal, recalls the events that took place 30 years ago.
Leila Vepkhvadze says that she started singing after the tanks appeared at the request of Zviad Gamsakhurdia and Merab Kostava. According to her, 30 years ago the Georgian nation was united in the struggle for independence.
The tragic events of the April 9 were once again recalled by family members of the victims and the people who were standing on Rustaveli Avenue 30 years ago and fought for freedom of the homeland.
