Physical confrontation at Batumi City Council session

A physical confrontation took place at Batumi City Council session. Roin Zoidze broke his head in a confrontation.
An emergency medical assistance was called at the site. The council member is being transferred to a hospital.

A discussion of placing Terenti Graneli"s bust in Batumi was followed by a confrontation. In a draft resolution, Terenti Graneli was mentioned as a distinguished representative of the Georgian prose.

Irakli Pataradze, the Chairman of the Education Committee, said that Terenti Graneli was a great novelist as well. The opposition demanded an explanation if it is a technical error or the majority believes that Terenti Graneli is a novelist. The statement was followed by a confrontation.

Law enforcers are on the spot. The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
