MP Mamuka Chikovani addresses the National Bank of Georgia with a question. The question of the member of the "National Movement" is related to the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Liberty Bank.
According to Chikovani, Irakli Rukhadze was convicted by the decision of the Great Chamber of Commerce of Great Britain in November 2018. The case concerns a violation of the obligation to protect financial interests and an organized conspiracy against one of the companies.
The MP demands the National Bank to clarify whether this circumstance in the case is a sufficient ground for suspension of the authority of the chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the Liberty Bank.
"Irakli Rukhadze is declared as an unreliable partner, accused of organizing a conspiracy, blamed in breaching of the obligation to protect financial interests. I ask for the specific explanations from Gvenetadze why there was no response and whether there is a violation or not. At least the National Bank should have stopped his authority, "Chikovani says.
