Georgia is going to build a “military town” on Makhata Mountain where servicemembers will be offered affordable housing. Such a statement made the Minister of Defence Irakli Garibashvili.
According to him, in order to appreciate a long year professional military career and country service, the Ministry will help servicemembers have a decent living conditions.
The cost of a square metre of the building space is about 200 USD, but servicemembers will pay only 100 USD. They will also be able to use interest-free internal guarantees instead of bank guarantees.
