The Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze summarized the parliamentary activities and noted that 2019 was quite busy for the Parliament.

According to him, in terms of political discussions, parliamentary activity was quite tense.

“It was a very busy working year for Parliament. We have passed over 400 laws, international treaties. We have held plenary sessions and listened to Cabinet members 13 times. In terms of political discussion and debate, it was a very tense year.

We have adopted the Code of the Rights of the Child, the Energy Efficiency Act, and a significant package of incentives for alternative sources in the energy sector, business-oriented legislative initiatives”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
