Israeli police shot dead a terrorist who opened fire on officers in Jerusalem’s Old City, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.
“A terrorist opened fire at a border policeman. One policeman was injured lightly in the shooting”, - Rosenfeld said, adding that the assailant was then “shot and killed” by police.
Israeli Border Police officers were standing near Jerusalem’s Lion Gate when the shooter approached and opened fire. Police responded by firing back at the terrorist and neutralizing him, according to a police spokesman.
