What we are planned to do will be unexpected to many - Adam Kinzinger

If we do not see progress over the proportional election system in Georgia, what we are planned to do, will be unexpected to many. Such a comment US Congressmen Adam Kinzinger made in an interview with Voice of America.

Kinzinger called on the Georgian government and opposition for reaching an agreement at a negotiations table and for re-directing the political struggle to balloting boxes.

“Georgia’s democracy was on an alarming stage and if elections were not considered as legitimate and democracy failed, this would not bring benefit to anybody except Russia…

What we are planned to do will be unexpected for many. We will decide about it here in the United States. But I keep hope that the agreement is reached.

I planned to arrive in Georgia but it was more important to see what happened in Georgia. The future of the Georgian election system had to be decided by Georgian people democratically”, - concluded Kinzinger
