Alexander Ivanov, accused of assaulting police officers in Varketili, has been charged

Alexander Ivanov - the man, who was shooting spree from one of the blocks of apartments in Varketili, sentenced to prison. The judge required a medical exam of the defendant’s health condition. 

The next hearing of Ivanov’s case is scheduled for July 28.

On June 5, Public Safety Management Center “112” received a call alleging that in Varketili, Ivanov fired several shots under the alcohol influence.

Police officers established that he was locked in his own apartment, deliberately exposed his own shotgun (registered on his name) from the apartment window. Detainee also made several untargeted shots, which was witnessed by neighbors, thus grossly violated public order.

After several hours of negotiations, A.I. obeyed the request of the police and left the apartment. Officers of the MIA detained him.
