The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released a statement regarding the murder of a woman by her husband in Surami.

The 34-year-old man is already detained, he pleaded guilty. The crime carries a maximum sentence of 13 to 17 years in prison.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they had not received any notification about a conflict between the spouses before the incident. Accordingly, no restraining order had been issued.

The investigation established that the accused man allegedly shot his wife dead and escaped.
