Latvian President with spouse has arrived in Georgia. The official visit of Raimonds Vējonis begins tomorrow. He will have the first meeting with Giorgi Margvelashvili and bilateral documents will be signed.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Davit Zalkaliani calls it a symbolic fact that the Latvian president`s visit coincides with the granting of the visa-free regime.

"The important thing is that during this period Latvia and its President supported the European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes of Georgia," - said Davit Zalkaliani.

The statement was made by the head of the presidential administration Giorgi Abashishvili, who said that Latvia had always been supportive of the visa liberalization process. He also talked about the upcoming events, which would accompany the two presidents meeting.

"The presidents of two countries will open a large joint investment project, and we believe that this visit will further promote the two countries` relations," - said George Abashishvili.
