"Closer than ever" - Georgians arriving in Lithuania received special welcome

The passengers, who were the first to benefit from a visa free regime and left from Kutaisi to Vilnius, Lithuania,received a special welcome.

A special banner was put up at the airport of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius with regard to the visa-free travel between Georgia and the European Union. The banner says - "Closer than ever” in the English languages and Georgian languages.

"This is one of the important stages of the Euro-Atlantic path. We continue to work on the implementation of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, "- said Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Darius Skusevičius.

Tomorrow the city have bewaiting for the President of Georgia who arrives on an officially visit to Lithuania. It should be noted that tomorrow Giorgi Margvelashvili will be accompanied by refugees from Abkhaza and internally displaced persons who received refugee status in 2008 after the Russian occupation.
