A Deputy Secretary of the Security Council speaks about ways to reduce Russian influence in the region. Vano Machavariani made an announcement during the NATO-Georgia Public Diplomacy Forum.

Mr. Machavariani discussed the directions and strategy of the President"s Administration and the Security Council. According to him, the threats should be assembled in order to further develop the country"s security and defense capabilities.

"This is the first stage. On the next stage we have to discuss it with the governmental structures and involve the society - how they see these threats and their involvement in process of dealing with them. This is what the President has ordered to the Security council,"- sid Vano Machavariani.

A Minister of European Integration focused on the importance of public diplomacy as well.

"The president has discussed very important topics , the role of public diplomacy in this case,which, in my opinion, a serious weapon. , "- said Viktor Dolidze.
