The Defense Minister presents his annual report to the parliament. The hearing continues at the Committee of Defense and Security for an hour already.

Levan Izoria has commented on the organization and optimization process at the Ministry. As the Defense Minister says, the decision were painful, but t aimed to reform the defense system.

According to Levan Izoria, 70% of plans have been completed, the remaining is linked to purchase of equipment, more training and creating conditions for more stable institutional development.

"Every decision , taken in the frameworks of the Constitutional Commission, will be based on the best international practices," - said the minister.

Levan Izoria has focused on Georgia"s defense capabilities. In particular, the discussion focused on purchase of the latest air defense systems from the French side.
