Instead of arranging recreational zones on 23 hectares of Tbilisi Sea territory , the City Hall wants to start a large scale construction . The 4 million project envisage construction of multi-storey buildings, and the permission to the company "Green City " was issued by the Institute of Architecture. The government of the capital announced the beginning of the multifunctional construction so that none of the remarks of specialists working on the general plan of Tbilisi were taken into account.

After the publication of information by the member of the European Georgia, the City Council postponed taking decision on this issue. One of the authors of the general plan was invited to discuss the project at the relevant commission today and it was agreed that consultations would be held before the final decision is made.

The authors of the General Plan sent their remarks to Tbilisi City Hall through the official letter last year. The Architecture Service took into account only some recommendations which as the specialists say is not enough.

Whether Tbilisi`s self-government refuses to continue the chaotic development of the Tbilisi Sea territory, it is still unknown. The project is finally to be approved by the City Council .
