Batumi City Court starts today consideration on merits of persons involved in Batumi events

Batumi City Court starts today consideration on merits of the case of the persons arrested in connection with the events of March 11-12 . 8 people have been accused of involvement in mass disorder and attacking policemen. It is not excluded that witnesses will be interrogated and video evidence will be shown.

The lawyers are talking about their innocence. As for other persons related to the same issue, their trial is scheduled for May 19th.

There are 20 persons detained on Batumi events, one of them is juvenile. Two - Merab Ghoghoberidze and Irakli Chkhvrikia are accused of organizing the rally.
