A statement on disappearance of Azeri journalist, Afgan Mukhtarli was delivered to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia today.

A wife of the journalist has contacted the police.  She states that Afgan Mukhtarlu has not been answering phone calls. Accoring to the Ministry of Internal Affairs , they are looking for the journalist in the entire territory of Georgia.

According to the Human Rights House, the journalist was seen on 29th if May for the last time.

Representatives of the NGO noted at the press-conference that the Azerbaijani government may be involved in the case. The journalist published the status on the social network on 26th of may. According to the him, he was being watched.
