Zero cases considered in 5 Years and facts of oppression exerted by Mikheil Chinchaladze on judges

NGO Transparency International - Georgia has released a video about Mikheil Chinchaladze, the new chairperson of the Appeals Court, according to which he did not consider any of the cases from 2010 to 2013, the same situation is observed in 2015. Chinchaladze only reviewed 2 cases in 2014, one in 2009 and one in 2016.

In the video released by the NGO, detailed information about Mikheil Chinchaladze`s service merit is provided. The Chairperson of the Court of Appeals has participated in a review of 250 cases in 10 years.

In addition, as regards to the number of cases is 4 times less compared even to Nino Gvenetadze, who is the chairperson of the Supreme Court.

According to the information spread by Transparency International-Georgia, Mikheil Chinchaladze, along with Vano Zardiashvili, a majority member of the Georgian Dream, was putting pressure on the three judges who discussed the Rustavi 2 case at the Supreme Court.

Mikheil Chinchaladze is considered to be one of the most influential figures in the Georgian judicial system.

The video depicts one of the most memorable moments of his career when he in the rang of a prosecutor used the right to silence .
