The US Secretary of State congratulates the Georgian people on the 26th anniversary of the restoration of independence.

In a statement posted on the official website of the State Department, Rex Tylerson writes that the United States appreciates the partnership with Georgia and thanks Georgia for the contribution of Georgian military forces to Afghanistan and other regions.

"The United States supports Georgia`s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, with the aim of achieving stability and prosperity in our countries for many more years of cooperation and friendship," - reads the statement of the Secretary of State.
