In Turkey, the head of the local office of the "Amnisty International" and his 22 employees were detained. Representatives of the Human Rights International Organization are accused of connection with Petula Gülen, whom Ankara thinks to be the main organizer of the attempted coup.

The arrests of Taner Kilis and his colleagues were carried out by the law enforcers in Izmir. Amnesty International categorically denies the accusations against employees.

The general secretary of the organization claims that his colleagues were collecting information on the fact of human cleansing and human rights violations, which the Turkish government is carrying out after a failed coup. Amnesty International urges immediate release of employees.
