Police Officers accused of threatening with sexual abuse, illicit treatment and physical assault - On June 7 accused Davit Gamkhuashvili said in Tbilisi City Court that he was beaten by the former Special Forces officer at Gldani Cemetery and then the violence continued in Tbilisi Police Division N 10.

The detainee Davit Gamkhuashvili has already given testimony to the Prosecutor`s Office regarding the violence carried out on him.

The lawyer of the detainee says that in the testimony he described in detail the actions of the law enforcers. According to lawyer, Davit Gamkhuashvili does not know the names and surnames of law enforcers, but he can recognize them.

According to him, the detainee was threatened by rape. About eight law enforcers participated in beating.

According to him, after the beating and inhuman treatment, temporary detention isolator did not receive the detainee due to the gravity of the injuries.

According to the lawyer , his client is accused of robbing the former Special Forces officer.

"As my client said, about 8 people were beating him, In the dawn he was taken to a temporary detention isolator, but the isolater refused to receive him as he was fainting"- said the lawyer Tsotne Tkebuchava.

According to the attorney, Davit Gamkhuashvili witnessed an unwanted incident in the vicinity of Gldani cemeteries and after that he was sphysically abused. Tkebuchava asserts that this is the reason for Gvakhuashvili`s arrest.
