Russia opposition leader Alexei Navalny detained before Moscow protest. The law enforcers arrested him in front of the entrance of his house. Mr Navalny, who has become the public face of opposition to Russian president Vladimir Putin, has organized protests across Russia on Monday. At this moment protesters are gathering in the Tveri street.

It has been agreed with the City Hall originally that the demonstration would be held at Sakharov Square, but eventually the procession was decided on Tveri Street. Because of this the authorities accused the opposition of provocations and the attempted breach of law.

At least 10 demonstrators were detained in Vladivostok today.
