Russian humanitarian mission in Georgia - opposition accuses government of encouraging Kremlin`s soft power

The Georgian Foreign Ministry says that the Georgian government has no connection with the entry of Russian humanitarian mission to Georgia. Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze, explains that this information was received through media.

"There is no cooperation, no connection with the government of Georgia," - said Janel Janelidze.

The opposition speaks about the use of soft force from the Russian side and accuses the Georgian government of inactivity against this force.

"As a result of this, we see Russia`s increased political and economic influence in our country and a similar humanitarian so-called" missions is one of the weapons in this soft power strategy, "- said Salome Samadashvili, deputy chairperson of the National Movement faction.

The deputy leader of the parliamentary minority, Giga Bokeria, a member of the Faction of European Georgia, says that the Georgian Dream government is doing nothing to hinder Russian influence and on the contrary, even supports it.
