An official ceremony of of meeting Georgian President was held in Astana, Kazakhstan today.
Nursultan Nazarbayev hosted Giorgi Margvelashvili at Ak Orda Presidential Palace.
After the official welcome ceremony a face-to-face meeting was held.

Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the visit coincided with the 25th anniversary of restoration of diplomatic ties between Georgia and Kazakhstan.

Giorgi Margvelashvili thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the invitation and underlined interesting and impressive pace of of economic growth.

The sides discussed bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries.

The sides discussed current developments in the region, peace and security issues. It was noted that Georgia is a state that contributes to international peace.

At the meeting the sides discussed the acute situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and the inability of the installation of barbed wire fences and artificial barriers.
