Lawmakers will discuss the issue of alienation of land on foreign nationals in the Parliament today. The initiator of the one-month moratorium is the parliamentary majority. According to their assessment, unless the constitutional amendments are accepted and the issue of alienation of land will is not resolved, this process should be suspended.

The opposition does not share the idea of announcement of moratorium and in general the prohibition of alienation of land to foreigners.

"Nobody is going to buy Georgian land massively, no one is going to get it on his back and take away. This danger is just an fiction. In total there is less than 1% of Georgian land sold to foreigners and those who have bought it made investments, "-

The National Movement calls the initiative of the government populism. Roman Gotsiridze says that when the prohibition of sale of land is written in the Constitution,
