Case of Afgan Mukhtarly - part of "Georgian Dream" members are dissatisfied with the investigation

Positions of Ruling team members on the case of Afghan Mukhtarly has divided. One part of " georgian Dream" openly expresses dissatisfaction with the investigation process and supports the establishment of a parliamentary investigative commission.

Giorgi Liluashvili,a Chairman of the Parliament"s Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, says that should be investigated who is involved in kidnapping the Azeri journalist.


"Nobody is against formation of a special commission in our team. I do not rule out that I will support this decision as well. It is clear that Georgian special services have not participated in it, However it should be investigated,"- said Giorgi Liluashvili


The second part of the parliamentary majority does not agree with the initiative of creation an investigative commission. The chairperson of the Human Rights Committee Sophio Kiladze believes that the reasonable time for the investigation has not yet expired, according to the MP, that the population is waiting for the results.
