"The State security has no connection with the tenders in penitentiary system," - said Kakha Kakhishvili, the Minister of Penitentiary and Probation of Georgia regarding the the contents of the new scandalous document publicized by "Courier". According to the document, it is clear that the company of the relative of Vakhtang Gomelauri, the head of State Security Servce received a million and a half contract from the penitentiary department in a simlified way .

The Minister says that the direct agreement with Baker has not been concluded and the contract was signed as a result of an open competition announced by the State Procurement Agency.

The Minister of Penitentiary and Probation was asked whether he was aware of the fact that the owner of the 50% share of this company is a close relative of the head of the CSO.

"It is doubtful and therefore I applied to the Prosecutor`s Office to start investigation ... I"m not nervous,"- Kakha Kakhishvili said.

The Minister of Penitentiary is fully aware that the security service does not interfere in the tenders.
