Amendments to Self-Government Code - Opposition asks president to veto changes

Giorgi Margvelashvili has 4 days before the decision on vetoing the amendments to the Code on Self-Government. The president has once again been criticized by the majority for today`s consultations with the opposition.

The opposition asks the president to veto two laws. The president has not yet taken the decision , while the ruling team is preparing to overcome the veto.

Opposition leaders say that reduction of self-governing cities from 12 to 7 has taken place for a political purpose in order to make the elections easier for the ruling party.
