Russian occupation and the common problems of Ukraine and Georgia were between the main issues during the face-to-face meeting between Giorgi Margvelashvili and Petro Poroshenko. Presidents of the two countries meet each other in an extended format.

"We are the nations that have close relation. Your visit strengthens this relations. Thank you for your visit and all decision, which will be made in the frameworks of this visit," - said Giorgi Margvelashvili.

According to the President of Ukraine, both countries have a common challenge in terms of Russian aggression.

" On Georgian land I feel at home. The atmosphere is very friendly. Our nations strive for freedom and democracy. We are fighting for this freedom, because our nations are victims of Russian aggression, "Petro Poroshenko said.

The presidents will sign a document on strategic cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine and will make joint statements for media after the meeting.
