"Georgia and Ukraine are those countries that believe that we can and we should go forward together," - the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Pavlo Klimkin, addressed Georgian and foreign diplomats accredited in Georgia.

"Everyone understands that in today`s world we are talking about people who have their values and principles, not political manipulations. It`s easy, today`s declaration on strategic partnership is about how to go forward with European and Euro-Atlantic integration, "- Pavlo Klimkin said.

The Chairman of the new Georgia, Giorgi Vashadze, said that Georgia and Ukraine should have close cooperation. The visit of the President of Ukraine is an expression of willingness for cooperation.

"Georgia and Ukraine have three fundamental problems, common and fundamental strategic issues. This is de-occupation, Euro-Atlantic integration and economic development. Consequently, it is impossible for our countries not have very close cooperation. Therefore, I believe that this visit proves that the Ukrainian side is ready for cooperation, "- said Giorgi Vashadze.
