Russian Federation launched a large-scale military exercises in the occupied Tskhinvali region. In the drill of the 58th Army participate 16 thousand soldiers and more than 4 thousand units of military equipment. The Subdivisions are trained to improve combat readiness. The training will last for a week and the purpose is to develop common rules of combat readiness for all military units. Except of the occupied Tskhinvali region, maneuvers are underway in the North Caucasus region.

The Government of Georgia declares that this is a gross violation of the 2008 agreement.
