Irakli Pirtskhalava, the first witness of the defense side in the so called cyanide case, was questioned in the City Court.

Father Giorgi Mamaladze`s lawyer, Giorgi Puntslalia says that Irakli Pirtskhalava named specific cases where journalist Irakli Mamaladze was an agent of the former chief of Tbilisi crime police.

"For example, Temur Tatarashvili`s case, in which he was an agent-provocateur, was detained due to his testimony. He also remembered the case of journalist Gio Gabunia, in whose detention Irakli Mamaladze was involved. He also named the amoun of money that Mamaladze received for his activity, he named people who were employed in law enforcement agencies and took part in the detention," - said Giorgi Pantsulaia..

The former head of the Tbilisi Criminal Police Department alleges that the chief witness of the Prosecutor`s Office in the so-called cyanide case, Irakli Mamaladze has been an agent of the Secret Service for years.

The prosecutor"s office said that they applied the security service and they were told that Irakli Mamaladze was not their agent.
