First president`s family accuses chief prosecutor of pressure and threats

The family of the first president of Georgia blames Irakli Shotaadze, chief prosecutor, in the pressure and threats.

The president`s son, Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, tells the Courier that the chief prosecutor and his deputies threatened Gamsakhurdia`s family and demanded that they stopped inquiring about the investigation, which began in 2015.

The pressure and blackmail is not the only thing Tsotne Gamsakhurdia is accusing the chief prosecutor.

The son of the first president says that the investigative agency is trying to delay Zviad Gamsakhurdia`s case, thus serving the interests of the current government.

In the course of the investigation, the family requested the Chief Prosecutor`s Office for the third time, to acknowledge them as victims but they have not received the answer yet. Tsotne Gamsakhurdia tells the Courier that the investigation mightbe blocked by Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The family of the first president of Georgia will sue the chief prosecutor of the country in the near future and will demand the investigation of the facts of pressure and threats against Zviad Gamsakhurdia`s son by the main state mafia.
