The opposition is holding consultations. Representatives of the 11 political parties gathered at the National Democratic Party`s office to send written requests regarding constitutional amendments to the ruling team .

The main demands are - transition to the proportional system by 2020 and direct election of the president.

The opposition has received a message from the government to formulate their demands on constitutional amendments.

Giorgi Baramidze, member of the Political Council of the UNM, said that they would send to the ruling team the document reflecting their requirements . However, according to Giorgi Baramidze, the government has been informed about their demands for a long time already.
Members of the New Georgia are also attending the meeting. The chairperson of the political platform, Giorgi Vashadze, specifies the requirements of the opposition spectrum.

"Let"s write a very simple letter so that they do not have to read much and finish this issue once and for all," - said Giorgi Vashadze.
