We received a letter from the opposition but no answers - Irakli Kobakhidze speaks about constitutional amendments

The meeting between the parliamentary majority and minority scheduled for September 6 in Strasbourg will probably not be held . The meeting where the mediator"s role was to be brought to the Venice Commission was a decisive step towards constitutional consensus. The ruling team blames the opposition in nonconstructiveness.

"We are still ready for dialogue and discussion. Everything depends on the opposition. If they manage to write down the issues that they support in case of constitutional changes, the dialogue may continue. We received the letter but not the answer, "said the Chairman of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze.

Mamuka Mdinaradze, the chairperson of the Georgian Dream faction, said that the ruling team did not receive concrete answers and it was impossible to continue the dialogue at this stage.
