Explosion in Kavtaradze street supposedly caused by gas leakage

The explosion at Kavtaradze Street was supposedly caused by gas leakage. Due to the strong explosion, one wall of a residential building collapsed. A 35-year-old man was seriously injured as a result of the accident, 45% of his body was burned.

"Fire has been liquidated, 50 square meters of living space were burned down. The explosion was caused by gas leakage ," - said a firefighter Tamaz Zhurashvili.

The injured was hospitalized and is being operated on at this moment. The man left his home after the explosion on his own. According to the neighbors, he was in the bathroom during the accident.
