The accused Sergo Mamasakhlisi`s family blames the police of the village of Dighomi in the inhumane treatment, physical and psychological violence. According to the detainee, the law enforcers tried to convince the 45-year-old man to confess in taking part in a robbery attackduring several hours of torture.

Sergo Mamasakhlis talked about the physical and psychological violence against him. According to him, law enforcers received testimony from him using torture.

Sergo Mamasakhlisi did not undergo any expertise, but the representative of the Public Defender said that the detainee had traces of violence.

The Minister of Internal Affairs criticized the Public Defender for this position. Giorgi Mgebrishvili accused Ucha Nanuashvili of protecting criminals.

Prosecutor`s Office has started investigation against the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the chaeges of alleged abuse of power by law enforcers.
