President pardoned 226 prisoners

President has pardoned 226 prisoners. The 141 convicts will leave prisons today and the sentence of 85 will be reduced.

According to Zviad Koridze, the chairperson of the pardon commission, the decision to pardon was applied to various convicts, including one lifelong prisoner serving a sentence for murder.

"The pardoning act included 13 women convicts and 2 juvenile convicts. 12 women will leave the prison today, "- said Zviad Koridze.
