A Vice Mayor of Tbilisi claims that the Information about the confrontation between the Tbilisi Mayor and his former deputy- Giga Nikoleishvili is absurd. Irakli Khmaladze says that Giga Nikoleishvili"s resignation is linked to his appointment on a new position and not with conflict.

According to Khmaladze, Giga Nikoleishvili was appointed as the head of the Security Police.
