The NATO summit in Brussels was a topic of closed bilateral meetings at the People"s Diplomatic Forum. Two months before the summit, the Alliance and Georgia are closer to Georgia. The Assistant Secretary General of the NATO Diplomatic Service, Tajan Yildem, confirms that the Black Sea is in the interest of NATO.

The meeting was attended by US Secretary of State Wess Mitchell. Mitchell condemned Russia"s aggressive actions and occupation of Georgia several times today and said that President Trump supports the 2008 Bucharest Summit Declaration and calls on allies to fulfill their promise.

The Russian aggression, propaganda, the threat of hybrid war, Georgia"s choice of Euro-Atlantic structures was the main emphasis on the speeches of Georgian government officials at the summit.

NATO"s Public Diplomacy Forum is organized by NATO Information Center. Diplomats, international relations specialists and analysts discuss international security challenges, role of strategic communication and methods of fighting propaganda in the region.
