Tobacco smoking will be possible only at home from tomorrow. Prohibition in public places is already regulated by law. Cigarette smoking is prohibited in closed café-bars and restaurants.

Despite the discontent of smokers, the law will come into effect tomorrow. The prohibition will take place in two stages, initially tobacco consumption is prohibited in all the facilities where the adults gather, play and where medical facilities are. Partial prohibition also concerns stadiums.

Money sanctions will be imposed on the offender. The legal entity will have to pay 500 GEL for the first time and in the second case will be fined with 1000 GEL,

The new law provides several exceptions. By 2020 smoking will be categorically forbidden in all objects
