Washington is concerned over the decision to close down controlled crossing points by the Tskhinvali occupation regime.

The statement posted on the website of the US Department of State says that the so-called " temporary closure of controlled crossing points on the territory of South Ossetia is restricting the movement of citizens living on both sides.

"In addition, the US require immediate cessation of illegal detention of Georgian citizens along the so-called South Ossetia and Abkhazia Administrative Line," the statement reads.
